Sophie DeWorken studied at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia, majoring in Film and minoring in Psychology. She received her Bachelor of Arts in May 2025, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Film Departmental Honors and holding the position of Student Film President. Throughout her time at Hollins, Sophie focused on video editing and post-production, taking a broad range of courses, including independent studies and teaching assistant positions, to enhance her skills. Her passion for film also led her to study abroad in London, England, where she strengthened her adaptability, and organization, while gaining a wider global perspective on cinema. Through her various internships, contracts, and freelance positions, Sophie has been able to expand her portfolio to include not just short films, but promotional videos, animated shorts, social media content, and more. Sophie aims to continue exploring the world of film and television, seeking opportunities in any field that aligns with her interests. Above all, she holds a deep appreciation for the art of storytelling, particularly through the power of editing.
